Samantha Harris is the new co-anchor for “Entertainment Tonight Weekend,” Variety has learned exclusively. Harris was previously part of the “ET” team from 2010-2012.

In addition to co-anchoring the weekend edition with Cameron Mathison, she will also serve as a correspondent and fill-in anchor for Nancy O’Dell on the weekly show.

Harris has recently been seen on-air on “Entertainment Tonight,” and her permanently joining the team is effective immediately.

“I originally brought Samantha to ‘Entertainment Tonight’ in 2010 and am thrilled to be working with her again,” exec producer Brad Bessey tells Variety. “She is warm, relatable, intelligent, fun and she and Cameron Mathison have a comfortable chemistry the audience tells us they love.”

Harris was notably the co-host of “Dancing With the Stars” for seasons two through nine from From 2006-2009. Her new “ET” gig is a reunion of sorts for the weekend co-anchors, as Mathison was a contestant on “DWTS” Season 5.

She has also previously worked on E!, “Extra,” “Good Morning America,” “The View,” “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” “The Next Joe Millionaire” and “The Insider,” which like “ET,” is produced and distributed by CBS Television Distribution.
