The Television Academy’s new North Hollywood campus is coming together, with Dolby Laboratories now on board as the official audio technology sponsor of the Television Academy Foundation Theatre at the Saban Media Center.
One of the biggest initiatives of the Emmy compound’s new digs, the flagship screening facility — historically home to countless for your consideration events — will be equipped with Dolby’s latest audio and imagining solutions. It will be the first non-commercial theater in the U.S. to install such technologies.
The collaboration means that the Academy theater will be regularly updated with the latest Dolby tech over the coming 10 years as well.

Their extraordinary innovations are empowering new generations of story tellers, and are shaping and enhancing the way we experience great content.”
The 600-seat theater also will feature speakers from Meyer and JBL. And the green room, which will host Dolby audio, will be a high-tech retreat for performers, panelists and talent on board for Academy events.
