“Empire” reruns are coming to TV One this year.
The cabler has cut an off-network licensing deal for the top-rated drama series with Fox’s Twentieth TV arm. TV One will carry a marathon of the show’s second season leading up to its finale on Fox next month. Episodes from the first and second seasons will air weekly starting in the summer on the cabler that targets African-American audiences.
Fox previously set an SVOD licensing deal for “Empire” with Hulu.

Empire hails from 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine Television. Lee Daniels and Danny Strong co-created the series and exec produce with showrunner Ilene Chaiken, Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo and Sanaa Hamri.
