Time Warner Cable and A+E Networks said Thursday that they have renewed their distribution agreement, which will allow Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks to continue delivery of A+E Networks channels to their subscribers.
This multiplatform agreement allows for continued carriage of A&E, Lifetime, History, LMN, Bio, H2, History en Espanol, Crime & Investigation Network, Military History and Lifetime Real Women.
It will also provide customers access to a robust offering of VOD content, TV Everywhere content for TWC TV out-of-home platforms, and access to various A+E Networks apps, including History, A+E and Lifetime.
Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“We’re pleased to extend our relationship with A+E Networks,” said Jennifer Chun, senior vp content acquisition at Time Warner Cable. “We’ve enjoyed a strong partnership with A+E for many years, and their programming is valuable to our customers. Now they will be able to enjoy even more of this content on multiple platforms.”
Added David Zagin, president of distribution at A+E Networks: “We have had a great partnership with Time Warner Cable for many years, and we are delighted that this new agreement will carry our partnership well into the future. We are thrilled that Time Warner Cable’s valued customers will be able to enjoy A+E Networks’ portfolio of brands across Time Warner Cable’s multiple platforms.”
