‘The Young and the Restless’ Is Top-Rated Daytime Drama for 27th Straight Year

CBS series has led ratings for 1,405 consecutive weeks

“The Young and the Restless” has continued its ridiculously long reign as daytime’s No. 1 drama.

Through Dec. 11, the CBS daytime series has averaged 5.08 million total viewers in 2015 in Nielsen live-plus-same day numbers. That’s 35 percent more than its closest competitor in the genre, the network’s “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Among women ages 25-54, “The Young and the Restless” has averaged a 1.9 rating. With women 18-49, it has drawn a 1.3. Both numbers are top in their respective demos among daytime dramas.

“The Young & the Restless” has been the top-rated daytime drama on television for 1,405 consecutive weeks. The series is executive produced by Jill Farren Phelps and Charles Pratt, Jr., and produced by Sony Pictures, Bell Dramatic Serial Company and CBS Daytime.
