Ice Storm Knocked WEYI Off Air Saturday
Ice falling from WEYI‘s transmission tower after a weekend ice storm knocked the Flint, MI, NBC affiliate’s local news off the air Saturday.
As area TV stations were managing a deluge of photos, videos and reports from viewers on the storms that raked the Tampa Bay area yesterday morning, Fox O&O WTVT was dealing with a more direct impact. Deep into its continuous coverage, WTVT was knocked off the air for up to seven minutes by a lightning strike.
