FCC To Consider Disclosures For AI-Generated Political Ads

The FCC introduced a measure Wednesday that would require political advertisements to disclose the use of artificial intelligence software, in what could be the federal government’s first foray into regulating the use of the technology in politics.

The global layoffs are expected to hit teams that handle user support and communications, as well as content and marketing. TikTok’s current global user operations team will be dismantled as part of the move, and remaining employees will be distributed among the company’s trust and safety, marketing, content and product teams.

LinkedIn Begins Labeling AI-Generated Content

Following other major social media platforms, LinkedIn has announced that it will begin adding labels to in-stream content created by generative artificial intelligence so its users better understand the posts they are interacting with.   

Death and Other Details co-creator/executive producer Mike Weiss has joined the CBS drama series FBI as executive producer and showrunner. Meanwhile, Allen MacDonald has been tapped as executive producer and showrunner of NBC’s Chicago Med. Both Wolf Entertainment/Universal Television dramas are top 10 broadcast series in Live+7 Nielsen viewership.

Don’t Count Out TNT For NBA Rights Just Yet

Sources with direct knowledge of the talks say Warner Bros. Discovery is still very much alive at the negotiating table to try to retain its NBA rights. TNT won’t get the league’s “A” package; that’s likely going to ESPN, along with the marquee rights to the NBA Finals. But WBD’s still in play for the “B” package, which comes with a conference final every other year, or a “C” package, which includes the new midseason tournament, play-in games, and early-round playoff series.

‘Walker’ Canceled By The CW After 4 Seasons

It’s official – Walker will not be renewed for a fifth season by The CW. “We want to thank the entire cast, crew, writers, directors and producers of Walker for their hard work and dedication over four incredible seasons,” the network said in a statement. “We also want to give a special thanks to star and executive producer Jared Padalecki, who has been a member of The CW family for over 20 years and was integral to some of the biggest hits on the network.”
