WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

Ho, Ho, Ho-Hum Syndie Ratings

Reruns and preemptions during the session ending Dec. 27 depressed the majority of shows.

Ratings were down almost across the board as many of syndication’s biggest shows took some time off for Christmas in the session ending Dec. 27, often airing reruns amid the numerous holiday preemptions.

Live with Kelly and Ryan, which marked the week with its highly rated annual “Home for the Holidays” episode, was the only one among the top 10 first-run shows to avoid any declines from the previous frame, holding steady at its season-high 2.1 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, and leading the talk shows for the fifth week in a row (including one tie).

Dr. Phil and Kelly Clarkson finished in the money, coming in second and third, respectively, despite both being heavily preempted with the popular doctor declining 21% to a 1.5 and Clarkson giving back 17% from its season high to a 1.0.

Judge Judy celebrated being syndication’s No. 1 show overall in the household ratings for the 15th time in 19 weeks with a merry 5.4.

Following Judy was game show champion Family Feud, which dipped a minor 2% to a 5.2. Next in line at 4.6s were repeats of Jeopardy, which tumbled 16%, and Wheel of Fortune, which sank 12%.

The top talk shows for the week among women 25-54 were:
