Fisher Interactive Network Promotes Two To GMs

Fisher Interactive Network (FIN) has promoted Jenny Kuglin and Mike Seifert to general manager, content and social media and general manager, digital revenues, respectively.

FIN said it has determined that this new organizational structure is the most effective way to manage the growing industry while maximizing audience, content and advertising opportunities.

“This positions FIN to serve its customers from nation to neighborhood in all of Fisher’s markets. FIN’s multiplatform sales and social media strategy will leverage all mediums while increasing viewer engagement,” said Randa Minkarah, SVP, revenue and business development.  “The general managers will focus on the two most important disciplines necessary to succeed — serving the audience by creating engaging content and working with advertisers to benefit from its growth.”

Kuglin joined Fisher Interactive in September 2010 as director of social media.  In 2011, she was given responsibility over all Fisher Interactive content with the addition of handling the build out of FIN’s lifestyle sites which include the launch of Seattle and Portland Pulp.  Kuglin was the former news director of Fisher’s CBS affiliate, KVAL Eugene, Ore., for over two years.  Prior to joining Fisher, she was the executive director of Northwest Cable News and also news director of KECI Missoula, Mont.

Seifert joined Fisher Interactive in February 2011 as director of sales.  He will continue to focus on revenues and business development for all of Fisher’s digital properties including. Seifert was formerly VP, global education at the Pacific Institute.  Previously, he was VP/owner of Go Mobile Advertising Network, a mobile advertising solution.  Seifert’s media experience includes director of sales at the KSTW Seattle as well as the general sales manager of KTWB Seattle and local sales manager of KCPQ Seattle.
