Fox Stations Set To Give OK To ‘Bethenny’
Fox Television Stations is expected to announce as early as today, but more likely next week, that it’s picking up Bethenny for the fall 2013 TV season, just four weeks into its summer test on six Fox stations, including WNYW New York and KTTV Los Angeles, according to people familiar with the negotiations.
A Fox pickup would launch the talk show featuring former reality star Bethenny Frankel into broad syndication by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
Fox had no comment.
“If it were me, I would definitely pick it up,” says an executive at a competing TV station group.
Produced by Telepictures, Bethenny is up 38% from its time slot averages last year, to a 1.1 household rating the week ending June 24, according to Nielsen. It is up 100% among women 25-54.
The show is executive produced by Ellen DeGeneres and other executive producers of her Warner Bros. show, Ellen.

Bethenny’s test episodes are taping at Ellen’s Burbank studio, but it’s widely expected that it will relocate to New York City for its 2013 debut. Host Frankel is an author and businesswoman best known for starring in the early seasons of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City.
Bethenny would be the first syndicated daytime show to nail down a station group for fall 2013, but it’s not the only daytime show in the works for 2013. Sony Pictures Television is developing a show with Queen Latifah and CBS Television Distribution is developing one with Food Network stars Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis.
