Viki Regan New VP-GM Of WRIC Richmond

Former WEWS Cleveland GM Viki Regan returns to local management at Young Broadcasting's Richmond station.

Young Broadcasting, LLC has tapped Viki Regan as VP-GM of ABC affiliate WRIC Richmond, Va. The veteran GM was most recently a multimedia consultant.

“Viki has a consistent track record of guiding stations to tremendous success and I am excited to have her join us. We expect Young and WRIC will greatly benefit from her extraordinary station and social media leadership skills, demonstrated history of generating local news growth and proven ability to effectively program and monetize across platforms,” said Young Broadcasting President Deb McDermott.

Regan brings 22-plus years of station management and multimedia experience to Young Broadcasting. Since April 2010, Regan has developed content, revenue and profit growth initiatives for broadcast TV, mobile applications, online and social media, while conducting due diligence and media management consultation for prospective television station buyers.

Before her time as a multimedia consultant, Regan served as VP-GM of WEWS in Cleveland from 2008-10. At WEWS, Regan guided the station to a No. 1 sign-on to sign-off ranking, as well as to the top of the key women 18-49 and adult 25-54 demos.

Prior to joining WEWS, Regan was vice president and general manager at WPBF in West Palm Beach, Fla., and held senior-level station positions at WDTN Dayton, Ohio; WBNG Binghamton, N.Y.; and WTAE Pittsburgh.
