Good for her! I’m a guy, who believes it’s good to see a talented, creative female hold a top spot!

Dotty Pope was an engineer at the old WMBR TV-RADIO (NOW WJXT) way back in 1955 when I joined the station and she ended marrying the chief engineer Ernie Vordermark! Had an audio operator named Nell. Point is: women have been behind the scenes for years making those of us (men and women) look and sound better than perhaps we deserve(d)! The glass ceiling was smashed by them before the “term” emerged. Now when it comes to pay, a great deal still needs to be achieved in this area. I am MAN but I do admit WOMEN RULE at least around my house! Happy New Year and congratulations Annette. Pleased to see UNC-C was a part of your life and learning as UNC-CH was in mine!
