CCA Names Peter Markham Board Chairman

Communications Corp. of America (CCA) announced that Peter Markham, chairman-CEO of Granite Broadcasting Corp. who has served as a CCA board member for the past five and a half years, has been named chairman of the board.

Markham commented on his expanded role with CCA: “I look forward to working more closely with the incredible talent assembled at CCA to build on the momentum the company has created over the past several years. I believe the company is positioned extremely well for future growth, following a year of record performance in 2012.”

Steve Pruett, former CCA CEO, recently resigned from the company to build a small-market TV station group. Commenting on Pruett’s departure, Markham said: “As a long-time board member of CCA, I’d like to personally thank Steve for his years of service to the company and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
