Zoldowski Nexstar’s New Grand Junction GM

Sandra Zoldowski, the former GSM of the group’s Billings, Mont., operations, will succeed Randy Stone as head of KREX, KGJT, KFQX and WesternSlopeNow.com.

Nexstar Broadcasting Group today promoted Sandra Zoldowski to vice president and general manager of CBS affiliate KREX, MNT affiliate KGJT, satellite stations KREG and KREY in  Grand Junction, Colo. (DMA 185) as well as the stations’ digital operations.

In her new role, she will also be responsible for managing KFQX (Fox) under a local marketing agreement. She replaces Randy Stone who was recently promoted to VP-GM of Nexstar’s television and digital operations in Monroe, La. and El Dorado, Ark.

Zoldowski will assume her new responsibilities on June 1, and will report to Brian Jones, Nexstar’s EVP and co-COO.

Zoldowski has more than 25 years of combined broadcast television and marketing management experience with expertise in local and national sales, new business development and strategic planning across multiple media platforms.

She joined Nexstar in 2005 and six months after joining the company was promoted to general sales manager of its television and digital operations in Billings, Mont. She served in that capacity for three-and-a-half years before becoming VP-GM of KSVI, KHMT and YourBigSky.com in 2009.

Before joining Nexstar, Zoldowski worked at Kampgrounds of America Inc. for over 16 years, rising from marketing programs manager to national marketing director and was responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing efforts for over 500 franchisees in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Zoldowski earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Fort Hays State University.
