NBC has renewed its new hit drama La Brea for a second season. It is the No. 1 new show this fall in the highly coveted adults 18-49 demographic, and that’s whether or not you include delayed viewing.

The eight ABC Owned Television Stations lead the renewal through the 2023-24 syndication season.

Fox has picked up a second season of its popular summer drama series Fantasy Island. The renewal, announced by Fox Thursday, follows strong ratings for the contemporary version of the classic 1977 series, from writer-producers Liz Craft and Sarah Fain. CBS announced that Big Brother: Celebrity Edition has been renewed for a third season that will premiere in February 2022. Big Brother: Celebrity Edition Season 3 will once again be hosted by Julie Chen Moonves and feature a to-be-announced group of celebrities living together in the Big Brother house where they will be filmed 24/7 (which viewers can watch via the live feeds on Paramount Plus) and compete for a grand prize.

Gordon Ramsay is returning to the kitchen for another season of Masterchef. Fox has renewed the hit cooking competition series, produced by Endemol Shine North America and One Potato Two Potato, with Ramsay and fellow judges Aarón Sánchez and Joe Bastianich all returning for a 12th season.

The network has handed out an early second season renewal for the animated comedy from creators Gabrielle Allan, Jennifer Crittenden and Clea DuVall. The news comes as the series featuring the voices of DuVall, Kudrow and Sharon Horgan, returns Aug. 9 for the second half of its first season.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon has been renewed for five years — a longer term commitment from NBC to the host than the network had previously disclosed. Susan Rovner, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming chairman, confirmed the renewal during NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation Monday. Rovner noted it matter-of-factly her opening conversation with Today anchor Hoda Kotb. Rovner didn’t elaborate on the Fallon renewal.

A quintet of scripted ABC series can breathe long-awaited sighs of relief. The Alphabet Net on Friday handed renewals to The Rookie, A Million Little Things and comedy trio The Conners, The Goldbergs and Home Economics.

NBC has renewed the Wolf World drama series that brought Christopher Meloni’s Elliot Stabler character back to the venerable franchise for the first time in 10 years, and revolves around the NYPD organized crime unit led by Stabler. Danielle Moné Truitt, Tamara Taylor, Ainsley Seiger and Dylan McDermott also star.
