The season premiere of the long-running ABC daytime talk series saw declines versus last year, including a sharp dropoff among women 25-54. The View averaged a 1.0 in that demo for Tuesday’s opener, off 47% from last fall. It also averaged a 2.5 household rating, according to Nielsen, down 22%. However, the show was facing tough comparison to last year, when The View notched its best premiere audience in eight years.
