Kelly Frank Named GM Of KYW-WPSG Philadelphia

The former director of content at WTSP Tampa is tapped to lead CBS News and Stations’ CBS-CW duopoly.

Veteran local media executive and award-winning journalist Kelly Frank has been named president and general manager of CBS News and Stations’ Philadelphia duopoly of KYW-TV (CBS) and WPSG (The CW), the CBS News Philly streaming channel and CBSPhilly.com.

She will report directly to Adrienne Roark, president, CBS Stations, and assume her new role on Monday, April 4.

Frank is joining CBS News and Stations after serving most recently as the director of content at WTSP, the CBS affiliate in Tampa, Fla., since 2018.

Prior to her nearly four years at WTSP, Frank spent three years as the director of news and digital content at WBNS Columbus, Ohio. Her background also includes serving as an executive producer at CNN in Atlanta and being the executive producer of evening news at WTTG Washington, D.C.

In addition, she has been an executive producer at KPNX Phoenix and WTMJ Milwaukee, and a producer at WCMH Columbus.

Frank earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Kentucky Wesleyan College and a master’s degree in social media marketing from the University of Florida. She is also a Kneeland fellow and a graduate of the Leadership Academy at the Poynter Institute.
