Ion Plus, the free, advertising-supported television (FAST) streaming channel owned by E.W. Scripps, will also be available free and over the air with a digital antenna beginning July 1.
Ion Plus will be available in 90% of U.S. television homes over the air, in addition to its distribution on leading FAST platforms including Samsung TV Plus, The Roku Channel, Vizio WatchFree+, LG Channels and Amazon Freevee. The network can also be seen on Fubo.
Ion Plus features general entertainment programming, including fan-favorite television series and dramas, including MacGyver, Scorpion, Murdoch Mysteries, Leverage, Hudson & Rex and Private Eyes. It joins the flagship Ion and Ion Mystery as free, linear TV networks.
The expansion of Ion Plus to OTA television follows the rebranding of Ion announced earlier this year, with the flagship network expanding into professional sports and live events, including the Women’s National Basketball Association and the National Women’s Soccer League, along with bolstering its roster of popular contemporary drama series.
I think ION+ will be on WXMI FOX17 DT4 or maybe on WZPX which is the ION Network on one of their DT’s and Fox17 will take one of diginets for DT4. Wood TV DT3 will be Dare TV in my opinion I could be wrong could be ION+ but I doubt it even know they took DEFY 8 weeks ago since The Grio left on May 1 Wood TV didn’t want to leave it blank until July when Dare TV launches on July 1. Since I know that Scripps doesn’t want the rivals in the same market to air their diginets I was surprised to see DEFY on Wood’s DT3 that was on Fox17’s DT4 as well guessing that Scripps didn’t mind only being for 8 weeks.
I’ll check to see if Wood’s DT3 will be ION+ or Dare TV tomorrow night when looking at channel 193 on Charter Spectrum. Looking at TV Titan on Wood’s website had the Dare TV lineup for Wood DT3 & FOX17 DT4 as well I doubt it will be Fox17 more likely Wood as I said before I could be wrong.
