Projective Technology And LucidLink’s Groundbreaking Integration Enables Cloud Post-Production At Scale

Projective Technology, a software company that brings structure to post-production workflows for broadcasters, creative agencies and production facilities worldwide, and LucidLink, pioneers in enabling instant access to data and real-time collaboration for the world’s most creative companies, are announcing a strategic partnership that enhances cloud-based post-production collaboration workflows, delivering seamless project organization and empowering creative teams to work efficiently across locations anywhere.

The unique collaboration includes the integration of Projective’s post-production collaboration platform, Strawberry, with LucidLink’s remote connectivity solution, enabling users to run their projects in a cloud-first context. “The powerful integration brings the best of both worlds: the structure, security, and versatility of Strawberry with the scale and global accessibility of LucidLink, enabling enterprise-level post-production and accelerating time-to-delivery,” the companies said.

“For years everyone’s been trying to run post-production in the cloud. There’s been limited success moving some of the workflows, but latency for true editorial needs remained an issue,” said Derek Barrilleaux, Projective Technology chief executive officer. “LucidLink made real-time collaboration and remote editing possible, but to run post-production at scale in the cloud you need a framework that brings structure and efficiency to your editing projects. This is what makes the combination of Strawberry with LucidLink so compelling. Strawberry’s project-based, intuitive workflows, together with LucidLink’s support for remote connectivity, breaks down collaboration barriers and eliminates creative silos.”

The integration of Strawberry with LucidLink “brings unprecedented innovation to creative teams, making it the optimal solution for collaborative users who need real-time access to their projects, regardless of location,” the companies said. “Projective’s Post-Production Collaboration Platform, Strawberry, provides the intelligence around project management, permissions and sharing, with comprehensive asset and project-based search capabilities that allow users to locate their content quickly, no matter where they are.”

With its out-of-the-box metadata extraction and proxy file generation, Strawberry “makes it quick and easy for users to search the entire LucidLink’s high-performance cloud file system, Filespaces,” the company said.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Essential capabilities such as Strawberry’s review and approval framework, Avid-style bin locking and workflow extensions for Adobe Creative Cloud are now extended to remote users through LucidLink’s remote connectivity features. Secure, authenticated downloads from, or uploads to LucidLink Filespaces can be accomplished via common web browsers, eliminating the need for users to install the LucidLink client application. Strawberry’s quotas enable granular control of storage usage, making it possible for companies to provide detailed billing for their clients.
