Shannon Wilson Named WAGA Atlanta VP Of Engineering

Fox Television Stations moves her up from director of engineering to succeed Terry Jones following his retirement.

Shannon Wilson on Monday was promoted to vice president of engineering and operations for WAGA Atlanta.

Bill Schneider, senior vice president and general manager, said: “Shannon has performed beautifully since Terry Jones retired earlier this year so we know the station is in excellent hands.”
Wilson has been WAGA’s director of engineering since 2021. Prior to this, she was chief engineer at WCIV Charleston, S.C. Before that, Wilson held various positions at WTVM Columbus, Ga., first as a news and content specialist, then IT and engineering assistant, and finally, IT manager.

She is a section manager for the Atlanta section of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, as well as the Society of Broadcast Engineers. Wilson is a Certified Broadcast Technologist, Certified Broadcast Network Technologist, and Certified Television Operator.
A graduate of Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga., Wilson holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Design and Technology.
