Jim Clayton Named WGHP Interim GM

Local TV today announced that industry veteran Jim Clayton will be interim president-GM of its Fox affiliate WGHP Greensboro, N.C. (DMA 46).

Clayton fills the position vacated by Karen Adams, the station’s long time VP-GM, who was recently named to the same position at Fox O&O WJZY Charlotte, N.C.

Clayton most recently wound down a six-year stint in Seattle at Fisher Communications where he ran the company’s television and radio assets, including KOMO. Prior to Seattle, Clayton ran the Fox duopoly in New York City as well as its affiliate in Detroit. He also has CBS station sales and national sales experience on his resume.
