MWG Entertainment Formed by Max Goldenson

Veteran television, investment banker and new media executive Max Goldenson, daughter of ABC Network founder Leonard Goldenson, has formed MWG Entertainment (MWG), a multi-platform global digital production company.

Goldenson, who will serve as president and executive producer, said that MWG will collaborate with film and television talent to develop, produce and distribute original series’ on multiple platforms including the Internet, mobile devices and Web-to-TV set-top boxes. MWG will monetize its content through ad sales, sponsorship and brand integration.

MWG’s first project is My Two Fans, a fictional 16-episode Web series and musical that follows the life of an average late 20s single woman as she rebounds from a broken heart with the help of her two fans. The series will premiere on March 9 on a number of online sites simultaneously including YouTube, Blip.tv, Veoh, iTunes and Sling.com.

Goldenson also announced the appointment of Robert Kandle as vice president of development. Kandle began his career at the William Morris Agency and subsequently worked with Robert Altman collaborator David Levy and, after that, launched Smog TV Studios, an Internet production company geared to indie filmmakers. He most recently executive produced a feature film, as well as an Internet series.
