WMAR Baltimore Hires Reporter Ashley James

WMAR, the Scripps-owned ABC affiliate in Baltimore (DMA 26), has hired Ashley James to be a reporter and multimedia journalist for its Good Morning Maryland show. James comes from WTOL in Toledo, Ohio, where she worked as a morning anchor and reporter.
 
“I’m very excited to have Ashley James join our Good Morning Maryland team,” News Director Kelly Groft said in a statement. “She’s familiar with the area, as this is a move that brings her closer to home, and loves morning news, so she will fit in with our team perfectly.”
 
James is an Emmy and Associated Press award winner, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Leadership from University of Delaware as well as an MBA from Wilmington University. Her first day at WMAR is on Monday April 13th.
