The CW Ups Chris Brooks To Distribution EVP

Chris Brooks has been promoted to The CW’s executive vice president, network distribution.

He is responsible for all network distribution, and also oversees affiliate relations and affiliate marketing activities at The CW. Brooks serves as the network’s primary liaison with its station groups and MVPDs. 

Brooks joined The CW in 2014 as SVP of network distribution. Under his guidance, The CW said, it has reached new long-term affiliation agreements with the majority of its major broadcast station groups, signed new long-term VOD deals with nearly every major MVPD in the country, and partnered with Litton Entertainment on a new, Saturday morning programming block, “One Magnificent Morning.”

Brooks previously was SVP, West Coast for CBS Domestic Television, a position he held since 2004.  He was responsible for sales of syndication assets in the western United States.

Brooks spent nearly 17 years with CBS, first joining the company in 1997 as an account executive in the Southwest region, before being named VP, West Coast division manager in 2000, and was promoted to SVP and West Coast regional manager in 2004.

He is a graduate of Arizona State University.
