Tracy Brogden Miller Upped To WDAF GM

Tribune chooses the Kansas City Fox affiliate’s news director to succeed the retiring Cheryl McDonald.

 

Tribune Broadcasting today promoted Tracy Brogden Miller to vice president and general manager of its Fox affiliate WDAF Kansas City (DMA 33). She replaces Cheryl McDonald who is retiring.

Brogden Miller, who has been the station’s news director since 2013, will oversee long-term strategy and day-to-day management of the station and will report to Kathy Clements, COO of Tribune Broadcasting. 

“Tracy is an innovative and strategic thinker, her deep knowledge of the Kansas City market, and long history of success make her the perfect fit for WDAF,” said Clements. 

Prior to joining WDAF, Brogden Miller was a news and marketing strategist at Smith Geiger. She has also served as news director for KCTV Kansas City, assistant news director for KTVK Phoenix, executive news director at NorthWest Cable News in Seattle and executive news director at KTVB Boise, Idaho. She also held producer positions at KXTV Sacramento, Calif., and KOTV Tulsa, Okla.

She is a graduate of Oklahoma State in University with B.S. in broadcast journalism.
