Three stations plus one owned by Cunningham Broadcasting reup in multi-year deals.

Sinclair Broadcast Group and NBC have entered into a multi-year renewal of the NBC affiliations in three Sinclair markets — KSNV Las Vegas (DMA 40); WJAC Johnstown Pa. (107); and WTOV Wheeling W.Va. (158).

The NBC affiliation was also renewed by Cunningham Broadcasting Group, the licensee of KRNV Reno, Nev. (105), that Sinclair provides sales and other services to under a joint sales agreement. The four renewed markets serve approximately 1.4 million households.

“We are pleased to renew our agreements with NBC, a longtime partner and provider of some of broadcast television’s most popular entertainment, news and sports programming,” said Barry Faber, Sinclair’s EVP for distribution and network relations. “The renewals reflect the value of the symbiotic relationship between NBC’s programming and the local news and syndicated content we provide.”

“We are happy to be renewing our affiliation with Sinclair and Cunningham in these four markets and look forward to continued collaboration to provide high quality NBC broadcast content to complement each station’s local news and programming,” said Jean Dietze, president, affiliate relations, NBC Broadcasting.

The companies have previously agreed to TV Everywhere digital rights and a framework for Sinclair’s NBC affiliated stations to opt into OTT deals.
