Qligent Adds Sales Engineer Todd Hinton

Qligent, a specialist in cloud-based, enterprise-level content monitoring and analysis, has hired Todd Hinton as sales engineer, effective immediately.

Based in Georgia, he will assist the Qligent sales team and their customers on all technical matters, from initial system designs and field applications to post-deployment problem-solving. He will report to John Shoemaker, Qligent’s director of sales.

A 30-year broadcast industry veteran, Hinton has held key sales and engineering positions with broadcasters, integrators and suppliers. He most recently spent eight years as a design engineer at Diversified, a systems integration firm, where he specialized in the design of HD master control and DTV transmission systems.

He also spent six years with TI Broadcast Solutions Group as a DTV system design engineer, specializing in the design of compression, transmission and PSIP systems. Hinton also spent two years on the supplier side as product marketing manager with PESA; and six years as a chief engineer with World Championship Wrestling, where he managed production and post-production workflows for live events.

At Qligent he will be tasked with designing the ideal Qligent Vision system architecture for each customer — an architecture that can differ significantly with each deployment.
