MGM Unveils Two New Syndicated Strips

The Drama features outspoken experts who use humor to help viewers solve problems and Personal Injury Court with Judge Gino Brogdon will be shown at NATPE 2019.

MGM Worldwide Television Distribution will launch sales of two new syndicated strips at NATPE 2019, Personal Injury Court and The Drama.

Personal Injury Court, a half-hour syndicated strip, boasts the highest cash payouts in the history of court shows; while the The Drama, a fast-paced syndicated format, features outspoken experts who use humor to help viewers solve problems.

Personal Injury Court is led by Judge Gino Brogdon who presides over highly-charged cases involving litigants alleging personal harm caused by the careless actions of the defendant. Using all available evidence including surveillance videos, reenactments, expert testimony and eye-witness accounts, Judge Brogdon must decide who is legally responsible for the litigant’s injuries.

The Drama features a wide range of people from across the country answering questions about everyday problems. Using social media, viewers submit their questions about the drama in their life (i.e., relationships, parenting, work, love, sex, finances, fashion, etc.). Using comedy and personal experience, the cast gives advice that is humorous and helpful. During a recent on-air test run in Los Angeles and Phoenix, The Drama dominated in daytime and in latenight, beating some of today’s most recognized television shows.

“With the recent renewals of our popular syndicated court strips Paternity Court and Couples Court, and now the addition of Personal Injury Court and The Drama, we are doubling down on our commitment to bring high quality daytime programming to viewers,” said Barry Poznick, MGM’s president of unscripted television.

Personal Injury Court hails from the same creator and executive producer ofPaternity Court and Couples Court, David Armour. Along with Armour, Barry Poznick is an executive producer. The show is produced by 501 East Entertainment and distributed by Orion TV Productions (Orion Television), a subsidiary of MGM.
