NATPE 2019

CBS Stations Add ‘Personal Injury Court’

Multiple CBS-owned stations are adding the new offering from MGM, including WLNY New York, WPSG Philadelphia, WUPA Atlanta, as well as CBS-owned stations in San Francisco, Tampa and Seattle.

MGM Worldwide Television Distribution announced today, the first day of NATPE 2019, Personal Injury Court, a half-hour syndicated strip, boasting what it says are “the highest cash payouts in the history of court shows,” has been picked up by multiple CBS-owned stations nationwide including WLNY New York, WPSG Philadelphia, WUPA Atlanta, as well as CBS-owned stations in San Francisco, Tampa and Seattle.

The announcement comes just one week after the series was launched by the studio.

Personal Injury Court is led by Judge Gino Brogdon who presides over highly-charged cases involving litigants alleging personal harm caused by the careless actions of the defendant. Using all available evidence including surveillance videos, reenactments, expert testimony and eye-witness accounts, Judge Brogdon must decide who is legally responsible for the litigant’s injuries.

Personal Injury Court hails from the same creator of Paternity Court and Couples Court, David Armour. The show is executive produced by Armour and Barry Poznick.

Personal Injury Court joins MGM’s Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court, which was recently renewed for its seventh season, and Couples Court with The Cutlers, which was renewed for a third season.

MGM Worldwide Suite at NATPE 2019 is located at the Fontainebleau Hotel, Chateau Tower Suite 1401.
