KVOA Adds Meteorologist Shea Sorenson

Quincy Media’s NBC affiliate KVOA Tucson, Ariz. (DMA 73) today named Shea Sorenson meteorologist/weather anchor for its Tucson Today, which airs weekday mornings from 5 to 7 a.m.

Sorenson grew up in Phoenix and graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism. She completed an internship in the KVOA newsroom while an undergraduate. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Sorenson’s first broadcast position was as a morning weather anchor at WBND South Bend, Ind.  Prior to joining KVOA, she was the evening meteorologist at WATE Knoxville, Tenn.

Sorenson’s first day on set for Tucson Today is today, July 10.
