Overnights: Fox’s ‘Thursday Night Football’ Down

Fox secured the number-one position in Thursday's prime ratings, with the NFL providing a net 2.7 in viewers 18-49, per Nielsen, and a 12 share, beating out the 0.9/4 ABC average.

Thursday Night Football secured Fox a net 2.7 in viewers 18-49, and a total 12 share, according to the Nielsen overnights. However, with the Redskins playing the Vikings this week, the Thursday Night Football rating dropped 10% from last week’s game, which saw the first-place Chiefs take on their division rival Broncos.

On ABC, which finished in second place last night, with an average 0.9/4 share, Grey’s Anatomy improved by 8%, to 1.3, while A Million Little Things ballooned by 29%, to 0.9. How to Get Away With Murder retained a 0.5.

CBS scored 0.7/4, with Young Sheldon up 22% to 1.1 and The Unicorn up 14% to 0.8. Mom saw a 0.8 and Carol’s Second Act a 0.7, with both remaining flat, while the new drama Evil, which was just renewed for a second season, lost 29% for a 0.5.

On NBC, Superstore secured a 0.8, Perfect Harmony a 0.4, and The Good Place a 0.6, all of which were flat. The Will & Grace season premiere got a 0.5, and Law & Order: SVU grew 17% to 0.7., all helping NBC to a 0.6/3 average.

Telemundo saw a 0.5/2 and Univision a 0.4/2, while the CW averaged a 0.3/1. Supernatural and Legaciesretained a 0.3 and a 0.2, respectively.
