‘Wendy Williams’ Hits New Ratings Highs

In the fourth week of its six-week test run, the Debmar-Mercury talk show is winning the female demos and turning in strong household numbers in New York, with good performances in Dallas and Detroit as well.

Debmar-Mercury and Fox Television Stations’ Wendy Williams Show Tuesday set new ratings records in New York.

The talk show achieved its highest household ratings and women 25-54 share to date airing at 10 a.m. on WNYW New York, while tying its previous ratings record with women 18-34.

While continuing to dominate among women 18-34 with a 2.9 rating (63,700 viewers) and a 21 share of the audience — making it the No. 1 program in New York from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in that demo — the talk show achieved new rating and share highs in households (a top-rated 2.3/9, or 169,000 viewers) and garnered its highest share yet among women 25-54 (a top-rated 1.8/15, or 81,600 viewers).

Williams also continued strong with women 18-49, earning a 2.0/16 (90,100 viewers) to finish first in the time period and a close second in New York from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

Now in the fourth week of its six-week preview, the show on Tuesday also finished first in its time period in Dallas on KDFW among women 18-34, and in Detroit on WJBK with all key women demos, as well as adults 18-49 and 25-54. Combined with New York, they make up three of the four Fox markets in which it now airs.

The program hit ratings highs in Detroit among women 18-49 (with a 2.4/18, or 26,300 viewers) — edging out Oprah (with a 2.3 rating, or 26,100 viewers) — and 25-54 (a 2.2/16, or 23,100 viewers).
