Justin Draper Named GM Of CBS In Boston

The company veteran is moving from KOVR-KMAX Sacramento, Calif., to oversee WBZ and WSBK starting Oct. 25.

CBS News and Stations today appointed Justin Draper president and general manager of its operations in Boston, including WBZ-TV (CBS), WSBK (MNT), CBSN Boston and CBSBoston.com. He will report to Adrienne Roark, president, CBS Stations and assume his new role on Monday, Oct. 25.

A 26-year CBS Stations veteran, Draper has been general manager of CBS News and Stations’ KOVR-KMAX Sacramento, Calif., since September 2018.

Draper’s new role marks a return to CBS Boston, where he served as financial controller from 2006-2010.

Prior to joining CBS Sacramento, Draper was financial controller at the CBS Stations in Los Angeles (KCBS and KCAL, 2010-18), Boston (WBZ, 2006-10), Chicago (WBBM, 2003-06) and Minneapolis-St. Paul (WCCO, 1997-2003). He joined CBS Stations as the assistant controller at WCCO in 1995.

A Minnesota native, Draper earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
