Greg McAlister Named GM Of KCBD-KLCW Lubbock

The veteran Texas broadcast executive is tapped by Gray Television to oversee its NBC-CW duopoly in Lubbock, Texas.

Gray Television’s Lubbock, Texas, duopoly of KCBD (NBC) and KLCW (CW) has hired Greg McAlister as general manager.

Since 2020, he has been president of consulting firm McFortune Media. He started his career in broadcasting as a teenager working in the family business at the ABC affiliate in Lubbock, where he experienced many areas of the operation before advancing to general manager at the age of 24.

A third-generation broadcaster, he has served almost three decades in various television station leadership positions at KAMC-KLBK in Lubbock, KRIS Corpus Christi and KAVU Victoria, Texas.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, McAlister has served on the board of directors for the Texas Association of Broadcasters, and The Texas Tech Mass Communications Advisory Council.
