WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

Baseball Preemptions Don’t Penalize ‘Judge Judy’

The veteran jurist topped the docket as she has done every single week for more than 26 years, climbing 8% from the week before to a 4.1 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating and more than 6 million daily viewers.

Swatting away strong competition and preemptions from six Major League Baseball playoff games, the top-shelf court shows were the genre leaders, making the strongest case for growth in the session ending Oct. 23.

Judge Judy topped the docket as it has done every single week for more than 26 years, elevating 8% from the week before to a formidable 4.1 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating and more than 6 million daily viewers.

Dr. Phil came close, climbing 8% to a 1.4, with Kelly Clarkson (at a 0.9) and Drew Barrymore (at a 0.8) not far behind.

Barrymore lit up the Nielsens Oct. 21, scoring its biggest audience since Drew’s 2020 debut across all 56 metered markets, for a full hour interview with George Clooney. Nationally , it went right through the roof, attracting over 1.36 million viewers.
