NBCU Ups Corcoran To Communications SVP

Alyssa Corcoran has been promoted to SVP, communications, TV networks and digital distribution, NBC Universal.

Corcoran will continue to serve as the primary public relations lead for the company’s distribution teams, heading the media and communications efforts for the distribution strategy of cable networks Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, Syfy, USA Network, as well as the Olympics, across all platforms including multichannel video programming distributor, mobile, electronic-sell-through, video on demand and emerging platforms.

Prior to her promotion, Corcoran was VP, communications for NBC Universal’s TV Networks & Digital Distribution group for eight years.

Corcoran joined NBC Universal in March 2003 as director of media relations. Before that, she was senior director of corporate communications for TechTV in San Francisco for three years, where she oversaw the company’s media relations, marketing and events divisions both domestically and internationally. Prior to that, Corcoran was director of media relations for Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta from 1994 to 2000.

Corcoran is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
