Rentrak Taps Wilson To Head Linear TV

Former LogicLab CEO Chris Wilson will head video-on-demand and advanced media and information businesses at the media measurement service.

Multi-screen media measurement provider Rentrak Corp. today announced the appointment of Chris Wilson as president of national linear television. Wilson will be responsible for building and maintaining key strategic relationships with national advertisers, agencies and national TV networks.

With this appointment, Rentrak said it will “further expand the company’s leading video-on-demand (VOD) and advanced media and information (AMI) business internationally and with companies that go beyond the cable, satellite and telco industry.

Cathy Hetzel will remain as president of the AMI division continuing her focus on Rentrak’s local TV station business with the expanded responsibilities of international TV, mobile TV and the new providers of television services.

Wilson joins Rentrak from LogicLab where he was CEO-president. A division of Merkle LLC., LogicLab focuses on delivering customer data-driven targeting of direct marketing tools to the mass media buying and planning markets.

Prior to LogicLab, Wilson was the president of both Experian Research Services and Simmons Market Research Bureau. Earlier in his career, Wilson held numerous senior-level positions during his tenure at Scarborough Research Co.
