Laky Palmer New Sales VP At KCBS-KCAL

Lisa Laky Palmer will succeed Marilyn Rangel at the CBS duopoly in Los Angeles.

Veteran television sales executive Lisa Laky Palmer has been named vice president of sales for KCBS (CBS) and KCAL (ind.), the CBS-owned duopoly in Los Angeles (DMA 2), it was announced today. She joins the stations on April 4.

Laky Palmer will succeed Marilyn Rangel, who recently announced that she intends to retire, effective April 15, following nearly three decades as a local television sales executive in Los Angeles.

Laky Palmer will join the stations after having worked for Adlink and Time Warner Cable in Los Angeles since 2003, most recently in the dual role of VP-GM of Adlink and VP, Time Warner National Sales.

Prior to joining Adlink, she spent three years as sports marketing director and local sales manager at KCBS and also worked for KCAL in 2002-03 following the formation of the duopoly. Before that, she spent 12 years with Fox Sports West (originally known as Prime Ticket), where she became VP of sales for the regional sports network.

Laky Palmer began her career as a member of the sales team at KABC Los Angeles.
