CBS Buying Web Video Guide Clicker.com

Jim Lanzone, who is CEO of Clicker, will replace Neil Ashe as the online video guide's president, who announced a desire to leave the company in December. Ashe has been president of CBS Interactive since CBS acquired CNET Networks Inc. in June 2008.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – CBS is buying the online video watching guide Clicker.com and making its co-founder the new president of CBS Interactive.

Jim Lanzone, who is CEO of Clicker, will replace Neil Ashe, who announced a desire to leave the company in December. Ashe has served as president of CBS Interactive since CBS acquired CNET Networks Inc. in June 2008 for $1.8 billion.

Terms of the Clicker purchase were not disclosed.

CBS Interactive includes TV.com, CBS.com, CBSSports.com, CBSNews.com, Gamespot.com and CNET.com.

CBS Corp. says it has grown into a top 10 global Internet property with hundreds of millions of unique visitors from around the world each month.

CBS shares were down 76 cents, or 3.1 percent, at $23.59 in midday trade Friday.
