NAB Education Unit Calls For Entries

NABEF is providing five fellowships for women and people of color to attend its leadership development program.

NAB Education Foundation opened registration for the foundation’s new Leadership Development Program. The program will be held Nov. 13-16, 2011 at NAB Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and targets broadcast professionals with three to seven years experience in the field.

Attendees will participate in constructive peer and professional assessments. Session topics include navigating corporate culture, leveraging talents and work style, leading others for optimal performance and team-building.

“This new initiative is the only one of its kind for broadcasters in the early stages of their careers, said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. “It will provide attendees with the tools they need to navigate the industry’s challenges, take on new levels of responsibility and effectively lead others.”

The Leadership Development Program is part of NABEF’s objective to provide continuing education for broadcasters at every career level. The foundation also continues to focus on increased diversity in broadcasting and celebrates broadcasters’ community service efforts.
