Andrea Cambern Leaving WBNS Columbus

Long-time WBNS Columbus, Ohio (DMA 32) anchor Andrea Cambern announced that she will be stepping down from the anchor desk in May 2012.

In a staff meeting hosted by President-GM Tom Griesdorn, Cambern said that “after 20 years, it is simply the right time.”

Cambern joined WBNS in 1991 after working at television stations in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona. Many of those years have been at the side of her co-anchor Jerry Revish. Revish and Cambern have been side by side on the anchor desk for over 18 years. Griesdorn announced that the search for a new anchor will begin immediately.

Cambern’s last broadcast will be during the 6 p.m. news on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.
