Entravision Ups Mario Carrera to TV SVP

Entravision Communications Corp. has promoted Mario M. Carrera to the newly-created position of senior vice president of Spanish-language television, overseeing and managing all of Entravision’s Spanish-language television properties. Carrera previously led Entravision’s radio, television and interactive assets in Colorado as the VP-GM for eight years.

Carrera has more than 20 years of experience as a general manager and has previously held positions in a number of top Hispanic markets including Dallas, Texas, Fresno, Calif., and Bakersfield, Calif.

Under his tenure in Colorado, Entravision’s Noticias Univision Colorado won 14 Emmys and KCEC-TV Denver won the Best 2010 Public Service  Campaign from the Colorado Broadcasters Association.

Carrera is a graduate of Harvard University. He will continue to be based in Denver.
