Hearst Chooses New KHBS-KHOG Sales Mgr.
Hearst Television on Friday named Chad Happersett the general sales manager of its Fort Smith-Fayetteville, Ark. (DMA 101), stations KHBS-KHOG (ABC). It also operates the market’s CW affiliate on a multicast channel. His appointment is effective Jan. 25.
Happersett most was the director of sales for Gocom Media’s CW/Fox duopoly in Champaign-Springfield-Decatur, Ill. His responsibilities included oversight for the revenue of two full-power network affiliates and their associated digital assets along with multicast channels, This TV and MeTV.
Happersett’s background also includes a two-year stint as the local sales manager for WMSN Madison, Wis., as well as sales and sales management with WKOW Madison.
Before broadcasting, Happersett spent time in the technical services field where he was responsible for leading sales and customer service teams throughout the Midwest.
