WMAQ Chicago Makes Anchor Moves

NBC-owned WMAQ Chicago today announced anchor changes to its morning and afternoon newscasts, which will become effective on Monday, Feb. 20.

Rob Elgas, currently weekday morning anchor, will move to co-anchor of the station’s weekday 4:30 p.m. news, with Marion Brooks. In addition to his anchor duties, he will report each night for the 10 p.m. news.

Stefan Holt, currently weekend morning anchor, will move to weekday morning anchor. Holt will co-anchor with Daniella Guzman, who is joining the station from KPRC Houston and will begin in March.

Elgas has been with WMAQ since 2002 and has been anchoring the weekday morning newscasts for the past four years.  Holt joined the station in 2011 from WPBF West Palm Beach, Fla., where he was a reporter and weekend morning anchor.
