Bounce TV Launches On KCOP Los Angeles

The African-American targeted multicast network can now be seen on the Fox-owned MNT affiliate’s ch. 13.2.

Bounce TV, the broadcast TV network for African Americans, was launched in Los Angeles by Fox-owned MNT affiliate KCOP on ch. 13.2.

Bounce TV was also launched recently by Fox Television Stations in New York (WWOR) and Baltimore (WUTB). In adding Los Angeles, Bounce TV is now seen in the top five markets in the U.S. Bounce TV is now available in nearly 75% of African American television homes. It launched in September 2011.

“We are very grateful to the Fox Television Stations group for bringing Bounce TV into these important markets,” said Martin Luther King III, member of Bounce TV’s founding group and board of directors.

“By launching Bounce TV, Fox is demonstrating their significant commitment to serving minority consumers by ensuring that the African American community has access to free, culturally relevant and entertaining programming for many years to come,” he added.

So far the programming is great…a talk show such as Iyanla Vanzant would be great. Just happened to rescan the tv channels. Ejnoyed watching Korean soaps with sub titles. Consider including tv shows from Brazil or the Carribean or Africa PBS style–the African American experience is more than color. Just refrain from ignorant programming. Thanks. Love the channel thus far.
