POST A JOB, FIND A JOB

TVNewsCheck OFFERS CLASSIFIED ADVERTISING

The service will add a "new dimension" to the only Web site dedicated solely to the news-and-information needs of TV broadcasters, says Deputy Publisher Kathy Haley.

TVNewsCheck today launched a classified ads section that will contain job openings, situations wanted and internships—with an introductory two-for-one sale on listings.

“We believe that the ads add a valuable, new dimension to the site,” said Deputy Publisher Kathy Haley. “They provide a great service to our readers and should help us in building a community of TV broadcasters.”

Job listings are just $50 per week, said Haley. And, to introduce the service, she said, TVNewsCheck is offering one free week for every paid week. In other words, she said, $50 buys two weeks; $100 buys four.

At launch, employers must submit ads by e-mailing them to Haley at [email protected]. Work is underway to automate the submission process and to permit longer job descriptions. Right now, the descriptions are limited to four lines.

TVNewsCheck is a one-stop, news-and-information site for TV broadcasters founded seven months ago by Haley, Editor and Publisher Harry A. Jessell and Deputy Editor Mark K. Miller.
