Sewee Offers National Memorial Day Parade

The American Veterans Center in Washington has selected Tim Voit’s Sewee Entertainment to handle TV distribution for The 2012 National Memorial Day Parade. This annual two-hour event is recorded live in Washington on Monday, May 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. ET in high definition. The parade is offered on barter terms for air on Memorial Day or the following weekend.

Sewee has already cleared many key markets including CBS-owned WLNY New York and WPSG Philadelphia, Weigel in Chicago, Fox-owned WTTG Washington, WBIN Boston and others for live airings.

“We’re especially excited about this year’s National Memorial Day Parade,” said Tim Holbert, executive director of the American Veterans Center. “The parade has grown into a fantastic tradition on our military’s most sacred day, and we’re proud to partner with Sewee Entertainment to bring this special event to patriotic Americans across the nation.”

Highlights of the 2012 National Memorial Day Parade include a tribute to the service and sacrifice of American heroes from the Revolution through Afghanistan and Iraq, featuring uniformed re-enactors, veterans groups, marching bands, musical performances and hundreds of active duty military personnel.

Also included are Grand Marshal General Chuck Yeager, legendary Air Force test pilot and veteran of WW II; honorary celebrity marshals Gary Sinise, Joe Mantegna, Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler and many more.  Parade hosts Major Garrett (National Journal, previously with Fox News Channel), Alex Witt (MSNBC) and sideline reporter Kirsten Haglund (Miss America 2008).
