KHOU Ups Miles Cathey To Sales Director

Belo Corp. CBS affiliate KHOU Houston (DMA 10) has named Miles Cathey its new director of sales. Cathey joined the station in March 1999 as a local sales manager and was appointed to director of local sales the following year.

Prior to joining KHOU, Cathey was vice president/sales manager for Petry Television in Houston, having previously worked at Petry Television’s Charlotte, N.C., office as an account executive from 1986 to 1995.

Cathey’s sales career began in 1982 as an account executive with WRCB Chattanooga, Tenn., followed by an account executive position at WBTV Charlotte, N.C.

He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in communications and minor in marketing.
