Troiano Named WLNE Providence GSM

The ABC affiliate promotes its local sales manager, Michael Troiano to lead the station’s multiplatform sales efforts.

ABC affiliate WLNE Providence, R.I. (DMA 53) today promoted Local Sales Manager Michael Troiano to general sales manager.

WLNE VP-GM Chris Tzianabos, said: ”During Mike’s tenure as local sales manager, he has been critical in the process and success of rebuilding the local sales team as well as executing the sales strategy we have implemented to grow this television station.

“Mike has demonstrated the leadership qualities necessary to be successful in his new role and I am confident he will continue to be successful. Mike’s hard work and commitment to making WLNE a competitive player in the local sales market will now extend across all of sales, including national, multichannel (ABC6.com and Live Well Network Providence) as well as political revenue streams,” Tzianabos added.

A graduate of Bryant College, Troiano’s career has taken him from investment bank management, to broadcast account executive at WABU (now WBPX) and local sales manager for WFXT, both Boston.
