WPWR To Simulcast ‘Mancow’ Radio Show

Beginning this fall, Fox-owned MNT affiliate WPWR Chicago (DMA 3) will air a live simulcast of Erich “Mancow” Muller’s weekday morning WJJG-AM talk show from 6 to 8 a.m. CT.

In making the announcement, Mike Renda, WPWR VP-GM said: “This fall, Chicagoans will get a backstage pass into one of the most provocative radio programs in this market. Viewers will have unlimited access into Mancow’s madness, with a live, unedited simulcast that will bring this dynamic voice to life.”

The Mancow Experience is syndicated by TRN-FM, a subsidiary of Talk Radio Network. The morning daytime radio talk show features celebrity interviews. Plans for a new studio are currently underway, moving the show’s headquarters from 190 North State Street to WPWR’s studios on North Michigan Avenue.

“So TV is like radio with pictures? Is there anything mankind can’t do?  If you love American Idol but hate the judges and music, then you’ll love Mancow on TV. I’ve got a face for radio on television. It’ll be a bouillabaisse of pop culture, politics and all things Chicago,” said Mancow.
